Ian Paterson – Leadership Coach

Ian Paterson

Overview

Ian’s work as a leadership coach has grown through word of mouth. This is the result of the impact his coaching has had not not only on the individuals but the organisations for whom they work.

Ian’s understanding of organisational dynamics and the pressure on leaders for results is informed by his own experience working for global organisations and OD consultancies up to General Manager level.

Ian is typically engaged to work with senior executives and high potential leaders. This is across the private, professional services and higher education sectors. These engagements are often during periods of transition to help move the needle towards better results and organisational cultures.

For example:

  • A newly promoted executive/Partner learning to operate and influence at more senior levels.
  • A CEO and their direct reports implementing cultural change within their organisation
  • A leader whose patterns and habits of thinking are now holding them back from more senior roles and having a greater impact in the world.
  • A leader wanting to reboot and develop a high performing team/college/school, business and culture.
  • A Subject Matter Expert looking to develop their leadership capability in order to expand their career prospects, impact and ability to influence.
  • A leader wanting to grow their value, impact, results and outcomes and as a result feel that they have more clarity, confidence, control and energy.
  • An executive challenged by the complexity of their changing environment.

In summary, most of his clients both individually and collectively are under increasing pressure to improve their top line performance & bottom-line results and their leadership capability & cultures in an increasingly VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) world.
